• We expect all students to wear our uniform with pride and arrive at lessons on time and with the correct equipment
• We consider that a smart uniformed appearance is an important element in the setting of high standards and reflects the tone and ethos of the school
• All uniform items should be clearly marked with the student’s name
• The cooperation of parents in helping us to set and maintain these high standards of appearance is essential
• Students who are not in the correct uniform may need to remain in Internal Suspension until the issue is rectified
• We reserve the right to send students home if they are not dressed appropriately in the school uniform so that they can rectify the issue before returning to school
• The decision about what is and what is not acceptable will always remain with the school

A plain white revere collar shirt (this does not require a tie) OR a plain white shirt with top button and blue striped tie. If worn, the tie must be done up to the collar and worn at an acceptable length.

Skirts must be worn at an appropriate length
(skirts should reach the end of students’ fingertips or longer when the student has their arms at their side).

Jewellery:

• Discreet jewellery (e.g. bracelet, ring, necklace and watch) is acceptable. Excessive or banned (i.e. offensive or dangerous) jewellery items will be confiscated
• Smart watches are not allowed (see our phone policy for more information)
• Staff may ask students to remove jewellery for practical and/or health & safety reasons

Hair styles:

• Extremes of hair style are not acceptable (e.g. unnatural colours, patterns, lines or extensions)

Piercings:

• Small studs in ears are permitted (no other style of ear piercings is allowed)
• One small nose stud is permitted (no other style of nose piercings is allowed e.g. hoops)
• Piercings in other places are not permitted, for example, tongue, lip, stretcher or eyebrow stud

Accessories:

• A plain dark belt with a standard buckle may be worn

Nails and eye-lashes:

• No acrylic or gel varnish or nail extensions are permitted
• Clear nail varnish only is permitted in Year 9-11
• False eye lashes are not permitted
